Welcome to our professional learning course on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
This self-paced course has been designed for teaching and support staff working in Australian primary, secondary and combined settings. It brings together evidence-based information and practical strategies to help teaching and support staff strengthen their professional knowledge, practice and engagement in relation to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
The course is divided into three short modules and takes approximately one hour total to complete. Each module will take approximately 20 minutes and you do not need to complete the entire course in one sitting. Your progress will be saved for approximately 30 days on mobile or seven days on an internet browser (though this may vary).
The course aligns with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across all three key domains; professional knowledge, professional practice, and professional engagement. It also addresses several relevant focus areas. More information on alignment with the professional standards can be found here.
At the end of this course, you will also find key learnings, reflection prompts, PDF versions of the included resources, and additional resources for further reading.
